2010 Mercedes-Benz E 500 Estate
Daimler Press Release

Mercedes-Benz E 500 Estate 2010Mercedes-Benz is expanding its current family of E-Class vehicles by adding another traditionally successful model to the lineup: the new Estate. The new model will be released for sale in Europe on August 5 and hit showrooms on November 21. Says Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars: "The renewal of the E-Class family - the 'heart' of the Mercedes-Benz brand - couldn't have happened at a better time. The success of the new E-Class demonstrates that in economically turbulent times in particular, customers especially appreciate the Mercedes-Benz brand attributes of safety, comfort, and efficiency. With the Saloon and Coupe, and now the new Estate, the E-Class remains a versatile and convincing messenger of the Mercedes-Benz brand's power of innovation."

The new E-Class offers customers a series of technological innovations that no other automobile in this class provides. The new Estate version adds standard-fitted air suspension with self-levelling at the rear and unique new load compartment management features.

Mercedes-Benz E 500 Estate 2010The E-Class Estate is seen as the progenitor of the premium lifestyle estate segment. Says Dr. Klaus Maier, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars: "Since the first Mercedes-Benz Estate was launched more than 30 years ago, over one million customers have discovered their enthusiasm for this most practical way of driving a Mercedes-Benz luxury car. We want to continue this success story in the fifth generation of the Estate. It will be able to build on the resounding start of the current E-Class, of which we have delivered more than 40,000 units to customers since the market launch in spring. The Saloon version already became the global market leader in its segment in May."
